Joint statement from Greater Manchester Local Infrastructure Organisations on the rising violence in our communities

We – Action Together (Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside), Bolton CVS, Bury VCFA, Macc (Manchester), Sector 3 (Stockport) and Salford CVS - Local Infrastructure Organisations (LIOs) supporting diverse communities and organisations across Greater Manchester - stand united in our condemnation of the recent surge in racism and xenophobia in this country.

The behaviour of a small but vocal minority in spreading fear, hatred and unrest is a direct affront to the values of inclusivity, respect, and equality that define us in Greater Manchester.

There is no place for hate in Greater Manchester. As LIOs we are here to work with and support all of our diverse communities. Today, we, the undersigned organisations, affirm our commitment to a society that values diversity and strives for equity.

We call upon voluntary organisations, community groups, charities and social enterprises from across Greater Manchester to join us. Please get in touch via info@sector3sk.org
