Sector3 one of 14 charity infrastructure organisations to receive National Lottery funding

Sector3 has been awarded £48,000 from National Lottery to enhance digital capabilities to be fit for the future.  

The new funding from The National Lottery Community Fund, which distributes money raised by National Lottery players for good causes and is the largest community funder in the UK, will allow Sector3 to build their organisational capacity to offer the sector more support with data, insights and impact. In doing so Sector3 will be able to support organisations in demonstrating the value of their work in Stockport and the vital part they play in delivering frontline services to the area's most vulnerable communities. 

Jo McGrath, Sector3’s Strategic Lead says 

“We are delighted to have won funding from National Lottery. The money means we can invest in equipping our third sector with the knowledge and tools to help secure their legacy. With competition for funding and demand for services increasing, data and insight will help to bolster evidence of the significant impact Stockport’s third sector organisations have on the health and economy of local communities.” 

Sector3 offers a support network for the third sector in Stockport to share learnings and opportunities for development as well as funding opportunities, enabling organisations to deliver social action on local priorities. The organisation’s aim is to join the dots between sectors in order to unlock opportunities for growth, enabling the local sector, and therefore local communities, to thrive. 

Launched in 2020 to support the sector during a time of financial uncertainty and rising demand, Sector3 now offers an online forum for local organisations and groups to meet, learning opportunities in partnership with local VCFSE’s and a website containing the latest funding opportunities and resources for development. In addition to this Sector3 have set up their own funding programs, solely aimed at supporting Stockport organisations in delivering frontline services. 

Voluntary, community and faith groups, social enterprises and third sector organisations, no matter how big or small, are encouraged to join the Sector3 network.
